Zone Diet

The Zone Diet was developed by Dr. Sears as a way of treating silent inflammation. Silent inflammation, according to him, is what causes chronic diseases by atacking our body at cellular level. The Zone is a real physiological state in your body where the hormones that control silent inflammation are maintined.

The Zone Diet is an anti-inflammatory diet and is your first step in returning to a state of welness.

Following this diet, you must maintain a 40-30-30 balance between carbohydrates - proteins - fats. In the carbohydrates a distintion is made between the bad (bread, pasta, potatoes) and good carbohydrates (fruits and certain vegetables). The bad carbohydrates should be eaten with moderation.

On top of the dietary prescriptions, the Zone Diet lets you exercise twice a day.
